Cut into 80 interconnecting triangles with a fair number of false edges, this small colorful puzzle is pleasantly challenging. Note these puzzle pieces are smaller than our average pieces, and may not be suitable for young'ins. The image was painted in 1917 by the Russian artist Arkady Rylov.
All our puzzles are made of layers of hard and soft woods, and are roughly 1/4" thick. Packaged in a sheer organza drawstring pouch.

This 258 piece puzzle shows a 19th century woodblock print by Utagawa Kuniyoshi of 53 cats and one octopus (the signature animal of Kuniyoshi). The full title of this work is "Cats Suggested as the 53 Stations of Tokaido." The puzzle pieces have a grid design with numerous cat-shaped whimsy pieces running amok (click on the small picture below the puzzle image to see example pieces), and were designed by Seattle artist Tara Flannery.
